Check your eligibility
You'll need a Private Pilot certificate and the flight experience the FAA requires, including 250 total hours. Not sure where you stand? We'll review your logbook with you.

Pass the written test
Take the FAA Commercial Pilot (CAX) knowledge test before you arrive, so all 8 days go to flying.

Fly for 8 days
Eight hours a day of flight and ground training at KVNY, one-on-one with your instructor, ending with your checkride.

Aircraft time is dry: you refuel at the end of each flight and pay for fuel directly. The checkride examiner (DPE) fee is not included and is paid directly to the DPE on exam day. All payments are non-refundable but transferable within 6 months.
